Project structure

The Project is divided into 6 Work Packages described below:

The WP1 encompasses the management of the project itself, administrative and technical. It takes care of coordinating the work done in other WPs. It is the interface with the Celtic Project office. WP1 also performs dissemination of results and will deliver inputs documents for the standardization bodies.

The aim of the WP2 is to define the Unique Semantic entity’s format as a framework that ensure transportation of the wrapped content all along the semantic bus.

WP3 will define and develop 3 components enabling the production of User Generated Content of high editorial quality: the network camcorder, the camera mate and the ingest platform. Each are designed to load and translate the USE, towards guidance and process control for the content production

The WP4 aims at demonstrating an Open Semantic Bus based on the AXIS architecture. It also delivers a repository with a semantic search engine connected to this semantic bus to store the entities created by the MediaMap project.

The WP5 will define the requirements of the USE for each task of the Audiovisual production chain. This requirements will be based upon the results of a benchmark of collaborative productions and User generated content with folksonomies. A special attention will be given to multilingualism.

The WP6 consists of a demonstrator in order to test the validity of the concept pf the USE. At the end of the project a rapport based on the experience of the demonstrator will give the final requirements of the USE.
