Relevance to CELTIC

MediaMap proposes a new architecture for producing and delivering new services over a broadband infrastructure. It provides a new way of managing audio and video content relying on broadband and mobile communications over a networked distributed architecture. It offers consumers new tools that enable them to produce high quality multimedia content by themselves and to share it with professionals into a single application organisation. With MediaMap, the “media chain” involving media content creation, transport and distribution is deeply renewed where the boundary between professionals and consumers is erased. So MediaMap is exactly in the scope of CELTIC, concerns precisely all items of NEMs in terms of domain and technology but concerns also through the new mobile camcorder e-mobility, and through some over elements of multi-platform software in the scope of NESSI.

The diagram below shows interaction of new elements of MEDIAMAP with network layers and Relevant Items of CELTIC.
